Terrifying moment ‘devil’ figure approaches Texas household holding chilling sign

One home in Texas got the fright of their lives after their doorbell camera captured a “devil” figure approaching their house holding a creepy sign.

Having a doorbell with a camera has been a game-changer for many households. Although most people probably just use them to talk to deliver drivers when they’re out, they also serve a huge security function.

Yes, not only can you watch in envy at how many takeouts your neighbors are getting, but you can also keep a close eye on who is snooping around your property.

And for one household in Texas, they captured a chilling figure that nobody wants to see pop up on their Ring Doorbell app.

The unsettling encounter occurred on the evening of January 18 in Carrollton, a suburb about 20 miles north of Dallas, Texas.

The homeowner, who spoke to CBS News Texas but requested anonymity, shared her experience of receiving a Ring doorbell notification around 8:00PM while she was out with her husband.

“My husband and I had gone out to dinner, and we had stopped off at the store to pick up a Powerball ticket,” she recalled.

“I was waiting in the car for him, and my Ring notification went off. And the person popped up on the video with that goat mask on, and they were approaching my door.”

The figure, clad in a black sweatshirt and a red, horned devil mask, was holding a sign that read: “Revelation 20: 1-15.”

The verse referenced on the sign, Revelation 20: 1-15, reads: “Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it.

“From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened… And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.”

Doorbell footage revealed that the masked figure appeared to only mimic knocking at the door before leaving.

By the time the homeowner contacted local police, the individual was already gone. Authorities filed a report and assured the homeowner that they would increase patrols in the neighborhood.

Gloria Johns, a neighbor, expressed her alarm over the incident, saying: “I’m not aware of anything like this ever happening, and I hope they catch him. It’s really scary.”

After sharing her experience online, the homeowner received numerous responses, many of which voiced concern and offered stark warnings to the person behind the mask.

“From my post, a lot of people are saying they would probably shoot the person,” the homeowner said. “I wish it were fake because it has really affected me.”

Local police have urged residents to remain alert and report any suspicious activity in the area.
