A manager of one of Europe’s largest legal brothels has opened up about their number one rule for deciding who can work there.
Catherine De Noire says her background in psychology makes her different from your average ‘pimp’ who takes on women for sex work.
The PhD student, who claims to be ‘the highest ranking person’ in the Netherlands-based company – besides the owners – told LADbible what the interview process for recruitment looks like.

Her shift – which sees her start at 7pm and finish at 6am – is made up of answering emails and reading reports, to interviewing potential workers.
But what Catherine says is unique to her brothel is that the clients, made up of married men and women, aren’t the ones who make the decisions.
“At the beginning of the night, I have interviews with new women that want to work with us,” she said.
“Like the philosophy of the interviews, it’s not like I would give them a banana and tell them, like to ‘show me how you make a b**w j*b’.

“This is not what we do. So we basically sit down and we have this philosophy to give almost everybody a chance.
“I never decide based on my personal preferences. It’s like, basically everybody has a chance.”
The manager said that the sex workers can be any shape or size, noting that they can pick and choose which client they work with, and what’s off limits.
She continued: “The system that that we have, it’s like quite different than the other clubs. So with us, the business is completely up to the girls.
“So they decide about the prices, they decide about the services. Because not every every girl does full-service sex work. So some of them, they specialised in like BDSM.
“We have a girl and she does, like exclusively, just a s*******g. Then we have girls that provide only, like lesbian shows.
“So they also decide about the services that that she wants to she wants to provide, also about the schedule.
“So we never tell them, ‘Hey, you should come to work’.
“This is up to them, you know, and it’s also up to them what type of the clients they will accept so they can refuse the client anytime. And that is the most important thing that we do.”
Catherine says the top performing sex workers, who are aged from 21 to 60, earn around $50,000 (£40,000) a month.

January has arrived and if regular exercise is at the top of your resolutions list, then you’ll want to keep scrolling.
To kick off the new year, Brits are rushing to buy a genius gadget that enables you to exercise without even having to leave your desk.
With thousands of five-star reviews, people say it has helped them to ‘burn calories whilst working’, and it costs less than 40 quid.
One shopper raved: “I work from home, so I sit at my computer for most of the day. I work long hours and rarely have time or the motivation to go out and exercise. I then came across this mini exercise bike. It fits under my desk and isn’t too big or obstructive and still leaves me room to stretch my legs. It feels great to be able to burn calories whilst working.”
Another happy customer agreed, as they shared: “Bought this as I work from home in a desk-based job and wanted to bring some exercise into my routine for those days when I don’t have time to get out and about – cold, dark winter weeks when running isn’t appealing or possible!”
“I’ve been pedalling away throughout the day ever since and it’s quiet enough that it hasn’t impacted any calls,” they continued. “It feels good to be getting movement in while I work – and at this price, it feels like a great, cheap win.”
A third simply said, “Clever idea for those of us now sitting at a desk more than ever. Fits nicely under the desk and I can pedal away whilst still working. Does what it promises it would.”
So, what is the under-the-desk exercise bike everyone is talking about?
The Himaly Mini Exercise Bike has garnered lots of attention online over the last week with many shoppers keen to get their fitness back on track after the holiday season.
It can be used to train the arms or legs with multi-level pedal resistance, depending on your goals and fitness level. It comes with an LCD monitor that indicates the time, count, calories burned, and distance achieved.

Compact and lightweight (it comes in at just 4kg), it can be used to keep fit anywhere, with many shoppers placing the bike discreetly under their desk. Some are even using it whilst watching the telly.
“Once you have a comfortable position, it’s easy to sit and watch telly whilst burning a few calories,” one five-star review reads. Another customer added, “Great piece of kit. Brilliant, I use it whilst watching television.”
According to the product description, it’s easy to set up and there are no tools required. What more could you ask for?

Can I burn calories with an under-the-desk bike?
The NHS warns that excessive sitting slows down our metabolism which can in turn, affect our ability to regular blood sugar and blood pressure – leading to weaker muscles and bones.
An under-the-desk bike will not replace your step count, but will help to keep you fit and the blood flowing without interrupting your Teams call.
How many calories you will burn whilst using an under-the-desk bike depends on a number of factors: your weight, the resistance of the peddles, and the speed at which you peddle.
Amazon
For a rough idea, researchers at the University of Iowa found that under-the-desk bike participants typically pedal between a third of a mile and 13.5 miles per day. According to the study, it takes an average of an hour to bike 13.5 miles. That means you could burn up to 500 calories per hour. Not too shabby.
Where to buy the Himaly Mini Bike on sale now
In welcome timing, the Himaly Mini Bike is now available to purchase on offer via Amazon for £37.73, reduced from £45.99.
Just make sure to hurry if you’re keen, over 1,000 have sold in the last month alone with many of us keen to get our New Year’s resolutions up and running.

The woman who promised to sleep with 600 people this year has explained her struggles.
OnlyFans star Annie Knight finished last year having slept with over 300 people so naturally, you know, as you do, decided to double it for a new target.
The Aussie model has reportedly absolutely raked in the cash with her content, especially after going viral for the big total.
But despite reportedly being in the top 0.02 percent of earners on the content creation platform, it isn’t all so easy for the 26-year-old.
It turns out Knight isn’t flying through her 600 person target so easily but she’s not giving up just yet.

I mean, it seems unsurprising to use this adjective – she has found her mission ‘exhausting’ so far. And with three and a bit months left of the year, Knight’s still got 200 people to sleep with.
“Some days I might sleep with five people and then the next few days I won’t sleep with anyone, because I do get tired, it is exhausting and some days I don’t want sex,” she told Edge Breakfast.
“There have been times where I’ve lowered the standard just a little. But overall there’s definitely a certain standard that I need to reach.”
And the OnlyFans star went on to explain how she has decided to go back to her older tricks to try and hit that 600 target sooner.
“I’ve just created an application form online and posted on my [Instagram] Story for people to apply,” Knight revealed. “I don’t know why I haven’t done that sooner.”
Well, good luck girl, let’s see what the rest of the year brings.
She has decided to take applications (Instagram/@anniekknight)
But in the meantime, Knight has also said she thinks she is being ‘punished’ for being successful after receiving a sky-high tax bill.
In a TikTok video, she revealed how much tax she paid on the previous year’s earnings as she explained it was so high she ‘could have bought a house with’ it.
Her tax bill came to a huge $592,122.30 AUD (£302,500) but insists it’s a ‘good amount’ compared to what she earns.
“For any of the accountants who are like ‘you shouldn’t be paying that much tax’ you don’t know how much I’m earning,” Knight said.
“If you knew how much I’m earning you would understand that’s a good amount of tax to be paying comparative to the amount I earn in a year.”
Impressive.

A former porn star said she wanted to ‘put something out there’ when she appeared on a podcast and was asked about penis sizes.
If such a topic interests you, the average penis size in the world has grown by about 24 percent between 1992 and 2021.
Back in the early 90s the length of a man’s member was 12.19cm, whereas just a few years ago it had increased to 15.35cm, and this is talking about the erect length before you become worried that your flaccid flopper doesn’t measure up.
As for why this is happening, a doctor suggested that ‘evolutionary pressures’ may be the cause where men with bigger ding-a-lings might be having more children.
There’s been plenty of conversations about how long one’s love-length ought to be, and over how much the size of a person’s d**k ought to matter.
There’s been a lot of research into what average actually means here. (Getty Stock Photo)
For some the fear that they don’t measure up is a source of anxiety and insecurity, though efforts to illuminate the public on what really counts as average are done in part with the hope of alleviating the ‘societal pressure’ that revolves around the penis.
In a recent appearance on TwinsPod, former porn star Elizabeth Spraggins, who went by the name Alura Jenson as a performer in the adult industry, was directly asked the ‘does size matter’ question by one of the hosts.
She said: “No. No it doesn’t.
She said it was more ‘about the man and his attitude’ than the size. (YouTube/Twins Pod)
“I’m just gonna put this out there as somebody who’s seen the entire spectrum of male anatomy, now that I’m walking in god’s grace I can say I’ve seen the entire spectrum of anatomy.
“If a woman knows what she’s doing with her own needs and her own anatomy she can make any size work.
“It’s about the man and his attitude making it enjoyable for the woman.”
One of the hosts quipped about the ‘motion of the ocean’ being what really mattered, leading Spraggins to say ‘people make fun and they make jokes about that but it’s absolutely true for me’.
When pressed by the podcast hosts on whether there was a particular size which was preferable, she said ‘one that doesn’t bust a woman’s back out but one that’s enough to feel’ and said that on the subject of size ‘somewhere in the middle is awesome’.
So there you have it gang, the average length of a penis is probably quite a bit shorter than you thought and bigger doesn’t mean better.

Faking not knowing about Fake Taxi is pretty pointless – you clicked on the article, we know why you are here.
Though one woman who isn’t shying away from the adult film industry is British pornstar Roxi Keogh.
She has taken part in the Fake Taxi experience, which follows the premise of a conversation between a taxi driver and a passenger.
Typically, the passenger has a lack of funds, and the only way to pay for the ride is to offer – well – sex.

Both actors are obviously consenting adults who are getting paid to act.
Meanwhile, former police officer Roxi revealed that she actually did drive the cab for real.
During a 2020 episode of the Your Round Podcast, she said: “Well obviously I pull over to get in the back, I’m not still driving it whilst I’m doing anything.”
When she was younger Roxi quit the civil force to work as a TV girl on Xpanded TV and the Playboy channel.

Roxi then moved to Babestation, where people she knew would ring her up and threaten to reveal to rest of the world what she does for a living.
However, the shaming attempt didn’t work as she had the perfect response.
“The more I kind of then started to own it, the more people couldn’t really say anything because people would phone me up and they would say ‘When I see you in the street I’m going to shout out Roxi Keogh’,” she said.
“And then when I was kind of like to them ‘Well, go on then and I’m going to tell everyone what it is that you’re phoning me for and what you’re doing down the phone right now you’re going to be far more embarrassed’.”
On some of the ‘weird’ comments she has heard over the years, Roxi added: “We’ll film something in the morning and say we break for lunch and then when we finish filming it, it’s night time.
“You will get that one person will say ‘this is a really long kind of session, it was daytime a minute ago and now it’s night time’.
“You’ll get people that mention things all the time, you think ‘really’ just have a w**k and get on with it.
“Who cares whether it’s daylight or night time, like just it’s really weird.
“I’ll do a scene with odd socks and people will notice that I’m wearing odd socks.
“I’m like ‘what are you looking at my socks for?'”
